These are the photos of the jetty, I just hoped I had a better camera (all the photos here are from my cells camera), to capture the beauty of nature better.

I with my friends and waste our evenings here discussing different topics. These one day had got permission to board a barge docked at the jetty at Old Goa. These barges carry iron ore to the sea. It sure was all fun.

Island of Diwar

This one I took when we were crossing from Old Goa to Diwar in a ferry. In the back ground you can see the Agustin tower; which is now lying in ruins. You can also see a barge in the back ground.

All these photos were shoot when some friends of mine and I, got on our bikes and went to explore the island of Diwar in Goa. We dint venture much because we were short of time. This island is very beautiful, with streams, rivers and palm trees. The houses here are old Goan style, the island itself is very quit and peaceful.

Panjim: heart of Goa

The setting here at Panjim is beautiful, especially after Panjim was renovated for the Film festival held here. This place is bang opposite the old GMC (Goa medical college) which now houses a cinema theater called Inox.

Just to be more clear, Ninad Dighe is me. I use my name more often than me that’s probably because I love my name.About the photo, I clicked it when I had gone to my uncles place, it’s a village called Betki; very scenic and beautiful. I just love greenery.

Top of the World.

The view was beautiful. That’s at the Vagatuar Fort, we were sitting on the edge of the fort. After a long and hard track, that view was worth it (you don’t actually have to track hard to get there; you just could drive your car up to the fort however we tried the hard way). The only thing you see is the vast blue Arabian sea and a deep gorge.

Many of my friends and me had gone tracking; we saw these trawlers and most of us jumped on to them. Best part was after the photo shoot; we realized that the trawlers had drifted away from the jetty and we had tough time getting shore.

Know as Victoria Terminal until its name was changed by the then ruling Shiv sena party to Chatrapati Shivaji Terminal. Its one of the busiest and the oldest railway station in the world. Build by the British during their rule of India.
All the surrounding building here have British architecture. Personally I love the structures here.

I couldn’t get a great shot at this one because I couldn’t stand on the middle of the road, for the fear of my photo appearing on the newspapers.

They Kept it Good.

It’s the view of Hiranandani, Powai. Its mainly a Business park with many software companies there. I worked here for almost six months. The place is beautiful and well maintained unlike the rest of Mumbai. Hiranandani also houses go-carting, bowling alleys and some good places to hang out.
Nice place however little heavy on budget.

Mumbai to Goa!

Special mention about this one, if you look closely you will see a water fall in those mountains.

It’s the scenery that’s beautiful, just hold your camera and click; anything you shoot will turn out great. I had clicked this while traveling from Mumbai to Goa by Kokan Kanya rail. Notice the dark cloud cover, they just give a beautiful lighting for the photos. All the photos where shot when the train was probably doing around 80 km/hr.

Don’t complain if you are not getting enough time to admire the beauty while traveling, the train never stops for you.

Burn them up!

Time: Diwali Festival (2006)

Is a common practice in Goa specifically, not much in India as a whole; to make effigies of a demon named Narkasur. They are made mainly from grass got after harvest, with fire crackers embedded in the effigies.

This effigies are burnt early in the morning on the day of Dwali (the festival of lights) mainly celebrated by Hindus. It signifies the triumph of good over evil.
